Three car crash sends woman to hospital

SOMERTON, Ariz. – A woman driving a sedan was taken to the hospital after she was part of a three car crash.

Somerton Cocopah Fire Department officials say the accident happened at 15th Street and Avenue G. Witnesses say the woman made a complete stop at the intersection when her sedan was hit from behind by a passenger van.

Firefighters say the driver of the van was traveling with a child who was safely restrained in her car seat.

The third car involved was also a van that was sideswiped after the first two cars crashed.

The woman driving the sedan was taken to Yuma Regional Medical Center. All other parties involved refused medical attention.
