
Calexico, Calif. – Four schools in Calexico were put on lockdown on Wednesday.
Police say two men in a truck were reportedly seen carrying a long rifle. They were parked across the street from the Calexico High School.
As a precaution, four schools, including San Diego State University Imperial Valley Campus, were put on lockdown.
Immediately police conducted a careful search of the area, but did not find the suspicious men.
Calexico Police Sergeant Victor Legaspi provided information regarding the incident. “Beige in color truck where one of the persons inside the truck or individual in the truck had handed a long rifle to male subjects unknown subjects approximately 21 years of age,” Legaspi said.
Calexico Police encourage anyone with information to contact them as soon as possible.
